Uhm. Hi, 6pm on a Friday. How you doin’. I can’t believe it’s so late. I could tell you that time has been totally warped and weird and that would be accurate, but also I’m losing track of hours and days lately. Truthfully it’s been a weird week, between the spread of Coronavirus which has everyone on edge, my dad meeting with his cardiologist today (I’m still waiting on an update), and so many last-minute things to take care of in life and at work before baby comes, I feel very discombobulated. Also I totally got stood up by someone who was supposed to start working with us this week so that was a sudden and weird chain of events. Anyway, let’s not waste any more of the day. If this is your first time here, welcome and I’m so sorry for the appearance of my blog and my hair. Let me put up a pot of coffee and just throw that stack of papers in the closet and pretend that we’re put together, shall we? Don’t forget to link up with my girls Lindsay and Beth to share Friday Favorites! Let’s get started 🙂
Solo trips to Target. I didn’t need much, mostly those vacuum suck compression bags so I could put some of the too-big baby clothes away and assorted odds and ends, but I managed to not get distracted by too many sparkly goodies. Damn it, Target–you get me every time! Side bar: it felt like a ghost town in there. Is everyone home because of the virus scare? What’s happening? I don’t like a world without people.
Bryan and I had dinner with my parents at an Irish pub called Thatcher McGee’s. I had a feeling they would like it, and I wasn’t wrong. There was an Irish band playing and my mom loved the fanciful decor on the walls (which included a clothes line and baby clothes) and we just had a really nice time together. My parents even went to the bar area to listen to the band and my dad clapped loudly to the music and embarrassed the crap out of me
A really nice long chat with one of my neighbors. Turns out a lot of crazy things happened on my street before we moved, like the daughter who hit her father on the head with a hammer while he sat out on the stoop (he was fine). What a bummer we missed all the action!
Love is Blind. I will not spoil it but it’s crazy so tell me if you’re watching it in the comments so we can dish!
Meeting with a really sweet pediatrician and getting my ducks in a row. I can’t believe this is all happening so quickly but I feel confident in the staff at my OBGYN’s office, at the hospital, and now with the pediatrician
Grocery shopping. Whatever I’m a nerd and I like to have a fridge full of meals so I can cook up a storm. Don’t make fun!
Getting unexpected $ back from the hospital. I have owed them so much that it was nice to get something back for once
Healthy, flavorful meals that I have been making at home
Texts with friends and making plans to meet up with people in the coming weeks <3
And there you have it. My happy for the week. Let me know what’s movin’ and cookin’ and shakin’ with you, my friends. I’ve missed you much and look forward to making my rounds this weekend. XOXO
