What up, you guys!? Is everyone having a good week? I dunno’ about you, but I’m SCHLEPPING today. For the life of me, I can’t seem to wake up (could have something to do with Milo’s incessant barking at lord only knows what time this morning). Anyway, all good. Here we are. Happy Tuesday!
Thinking about: the People magazine post I read this morning about James Van Der Beek and his wife’s miscarriage. I had mixed feelings at first; they have five happy and healthy children! But that really shouldn’t matter and I was upset with myself that the thought even crossed my mind. A miscarriage is devastating for any woman to go through and I’m glad that he’s talking about it so openly and sharing in his wife’s suffering. He also beautifully wrote about how the name needs to change because the word implies a woman is unable to carry, and I’m not doing it justice by explaining it here, but it kind of hit me in the feels this morning
Enjoying: a full belly. A manageable and light workload (knock on wood)
Feeling: happy. I heard the baby’s heartbeat this morning and everything is normal so I can breathe again. I have my 20-week ultrasound coming up soon and I have never felt so anxious about an appointment in my life. I can’t wait to see her wriggle around on the big screen and count all of her fingers and toes!
Wearing: black leggings, a long shirt, a sweater from Express, and the biggest/warmest socks. This has become my uniform as of late
Needing: more food (OMG, what is WRONG with me!?)
Listening: to the incessant sounds of banging outside my window. There are people at work on the house next to us that’s been abandoned for 10+ years–it’s nice to see some activity there and know that this house is getting a facelift and some love again
Making: plans to see my cousins and Thanksgiving Day arrangements
Eating: chocolate hummus and pretzel crisps
Drinking: all the water
