Hey, you guys, and happy Friday! As always, today is a day to give gratitude and reflect on the days that were in the past week. My heart is so, SO full, and I really feel like I have so much to give thanks for as we round out this first week of November. I hope you’ll join my wonderful bloggy sisters Lindsey and Beth and leave your gratitude posts in our linkup below so I can stop by and see what’s making your hearts jump for joy. Let’s get started!
In my own little tiny world, I felt like I broke the internet with my pregnancy announcement on Sunday (and yes, I know I’m no Kardashian, but I don’t think I’ve ever received so much love and support with one post and my heart pitter pattered with each message). I have been DYING to tell you guys, but I’ve also been battling massive amounts of anxiety about going public. A few people suggested I take the plunge and write about my experience, and that doing so would make it all seem real… and they were right. And so, I’m PREGNANT! I will write a full post about this (hopefully next week if I can get my act together). If you’ve been following for some time, you know it’s been the longest road for us and we’ve really struggled with infertility, so we are just both so grateful right now 🙂
Getting to see Michael Franti last night—I boogied my butt off at the Wellmont Theater in Montclair and I’m kind of paying for it today, but it was worth it. His message is always one of positivity in a world that’s sometimes confusing and sad. I highly recommend going to see him if you haven’t already!
Making an appointment to do car things. Admittedly, this isn’t the most exciting of the bullets on my list today (LOL) but it’s necessary. That damn maintenance light came on WEEKS ago and I’ve pushed it off for way too long. I’ll feel good when it’s all over later this afternoon
Girl, Wash Your Face by Rachel Hollis. It’s a light read, and the perfect pre-sleep book (show of hands, who has read this one?)
We’re down to the very bare essentials in our pantry, but I just fixed a wrap with hummus, a pickle, some olives, and artichoke hearts, and I’m not sure if it’s next-level genius or totally gross but I don’t care–it’s delicious! (Are you Team Genius or Gross?)
New iPhone. Another thing I’ve pushed off forever, but I couldn’t take it anymore. I had the 7 and it was so damn buggy and every app crashed all the damn time (I just upgraded to the XS)
Friends who have donated maternity clothes, books on pregnancy, baby monitors, assorted baby items, etc. Having a first child at 41 means that most people in my circle have done this all before and they have some really great baby things!
And that’s it. Fewer items, but all great things, in my book. What about you? What are you grateful for today? Hope everyone has a beautiful weekend ahead and can’t wait to get caught up. XOXO
