I love writing goals in the middle of the month, said NO PLANNER EVER, but well, I don’t believe in making lofty claims. I’m perfectly happy being mediocre when it comes to certain things, but goal planning is something I’d like to up my game on. Should I add it to the list of goals for October?
Anyway, here we are, 17 days into the month of October and now seems as good a time as any to look back on September and the 14 days left of the month. Let’s dive in and see how we did last month!
Get back to budgeting. I stopped putting most things on my credit cards because that balance has been rising steadily and I don’t like it. This past month I made a pretty sizable dent in paying off my credit cards. Never enough, but slow and steady wins the race. I’ll take this as a win! Last month I paid off:
$1,000+ on Amex
$330+ on Chase
More reading. Yes! I finished No Good Deed (loved!) and also The Death on Mrs. Westaway (also loved!). I’m a slow reader but I have been reading every night before bed and it’s a nice way to wind down the evening. I’ve also been making lots of city trips lately and always bring my books with me to kill some of that awful commute time. I’ll consider this a win Pick up the phone. Yes!! It’s nice to get on the horn with friends/family when they call, rather than text or email back and forth
Take better care of self. <I feel like I could always improve on this goal. I didn’t make it to the gym much BUT I have been taking care of body and trying to stress less (thank goodness for acupuncture). So it’s like a half win, I guess??
And there you have it for September. Not bad! Here are some goals I’d like to keep this month:
- Book something spooky and/or seasonal
- Post goals earlier in the month 🙂
- Do something that sparks creativity–I don’t write as much as I used to and would like to get better at this
- Finish three books. We’ll see how that goes. Short and sweet reading recommendations–leave them below!
Here’s where I typically say you should link up with us but I’m late for the party, and it’s already over LOL. BUT I’d still love to read what you have going on in October, so if you did a goals post, leave it in the comments! XO
