Man, I have REALLY got to get it together with these goals posts and publish them sooner than mid-month. Happy new(ish) week, you guys! Tell me about the weekend, and what did you do? I had a pretty eventful one, with lots of family things. It was nice to spend some time with my brother; I don’t get to see him nearly enough now that he lives in Florida, and I had a city day with Bryan’s sister, niece, and mom.
Now… where were we? 😉
Let’s have a look at goals for the month of July to see how we did!
Finally complete the living room and share a tour on my blog. I can’t cross this off since I didn’t share on my blog but that’s because our couch looks horrible. We recently bought a couch cover on Prime Day (because dog) and we didn’t put all the pieces on so right now it’s just a big ol’ mess. But I consider the living room completely finished so a half victory 🙂
Pick up some lighthearted books and make it through at least three. Gah! I made it through two books. Fail
Take better care of self—mind, body, spirit. I did this. July was a pretty crazy month but I found time to chill out, sit by the lake, enjoy time with friends, go to acupuncture, etc. I consider that a win!
Final result: 1/3. Not great. But you know what? I accomplished a good one, so let’s think positively 🙂
As usual, I’m keeping it simple this month. These are the last days of summer, and I have high hopes and big plans. But mostly I want to make it count, because this time of year goes by much, much too fast, eh? Here’s what’s on the list for August:
Enjoy what’s left of summer. Go to the lake. BBQ. Plan a getaway. Concert(s). Stop for ice cream. Stay out a bit longer than usual to watch the fireflies.
Discipline Milo. We start obedience school at the end of this month, and I’m hoping he’s an apt student. As cute as he is, he has terrible manners and doesn’t listen very well so hope we can stick to a schedule. I get his personality, but people who don’t are sometimes afraid of him lunging at them, and I don’t want that.
Leave work at work. I struggle with this a lot because I work from home but there have been way too many times when I log on to my computer late at night or check work emails from my phone off hours. Not only is it not healthy, I don’t want to live that way
Link up below and let us know what you’re planning on accomplishing this month!
