Getting started a wee late today with my Friday gratitude. Whoops! How are you, sweet peas, and what’s on tap this weekend? Also how many of you watched the debates last night (and the night before), and what are your thoughts? I am living for the Marianne Williamson tweets. I kind of love her (I mean, not for president, but she sure was entertaining up there to say the least).
Here is my happy for the week. Don’t forget to link up with the two girls who make this linkup possible Lindsay and Beth, and drop your gratitude links below (remember to reciprocate!). Here’s my happy:
This incredibly silly pittie puppy Newton (and yes, I agree–the name is horrible and doesn’t suit him). Bryan is over the moon and pitching to me the benefits of keeping him. I’m not fully sold yet, but that’s because I’m not a puppy person. The jury is still out but he’s very friggin cute 🙂
don’t be fooled by two photos of him sleeping. I caught him in rare moments of stillness. Notice the stolen shoe
Eating outside when it’s not disgustingly hot and buggy
Text messages with friends
The return of Phish radio (it’s the most wonderful time of the year!)
Walks around the ‘hood and meeting some new (to me!) neighbors
Making an appointment to see an acupuncturist… which sparked a really nice phone conversation with a woman who recommended St. Barnabas in Livingston, NJ for fertility treatments (please let me know if you have any experiences there!). I had an appointment with a place I wasn’t particularly fond of (big facility and I always felt like a number there–I got the sense from my two failed IUIs that because I was “of a certain age” I would mess up their success rates, which the receptionist at the acupuncture place said was the case there). Anyway, I was able to get an appointment at St. B in mid-July and am kind of excited to “start over”—please send lots and lots of baby dust our way!
Winning an Instagram Lularoe giveaway—for 10 articles of clothing! Will share haul as soon as it’s in
My friend’s name in print! Shoutout to Ally of Shybiker for his thoughtful comment in Outside Magazine
Seeing Bryan’s niece in a dance recital—she did such a great job!
And there you have my gratitude. Can’t wait to see yours, and wishing you all the best for the weekend ahead!
