Admittedly, I’ve never been a good shopper. I tend to get tired, hungry, and crabby about two hours in, which is around the time everyone else appears to get their second wind. Valuable lesson: carry a Snickers in your purse for such times. Anyway, I thought this linky was a fun one and am joining The Blended Blog for this month’s prompt: The Shop ‘til You Drop Edition. Let’s go!
Top 3 shops? Hmm… already off to a great start when nothing comes to mind! LOL, I’d have to say South Moon Under for clothing, Home Goods for house stuffs, and Target for anything under the sun
Where is the majority of your shopping done—in store or online? Typically online (especially around the holidays) but sometimes I enjoy being in a store and trying on things
What’s your favorite thing to shop for? Handbags, hands down. I might have a slight problem! One day, I’d like to have a walk-in closet where I can proudly display them all but right now, I have a stand in my office that showcases a few of my favorites
What do you just HATE shopping for? Swimsuits and jeans. The thought alone makes me break out in hives
What’s your most favorite thing you’ve ever bought? This house! That was such a stressful process, but in the end, we found the perfect home
Do you prefer shopping alone or with others? Depends on the company. No offense to Bryan, but we cannot go shopping together unless we are there for a reason. I get distracted by shiny objects and he has a shorter attention span than I do
Best bargain? Pier 1 had a crazy sale on some of their plates around the holidays. I purchased these adorable winter wonderland themed salad plates, each one different—a set of four was only $7 so I got three boxes and can now entertain around Christmas 🙂
Thrift store shopping: yes or no? Yes! I’m just getting back into it (took a long hiatus, but I used to do this all the time in high school); it’s fun to breathe life into something long forgotten
Best cities for shopping? NYC and Paris
Who’s your style or fashion icon? Sarah Jessica Parker, Sex and The City years. I used to LOVE everything about her clothing and the way she carried herself while wearing it. Confidence is the sexiest thing you can wear, eh?
Happy Monday, sweet peas! How was your weekend and what did you do? This weekend I spent some time in my old stomping grounds—I went to Montclair to run errands, mostly, but treated myself to a manicure and a stop at an adorable coffee shop with delicious Middle Eastern baked goods–yum! Sunday, I had a date with my parents—let me know about your weekend in the comments and if you’d like to participate in the linky, I’d love to read your answers!
