Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens…
You like my hair? Gee, thanks. Just bought it.
Someone please sing something so I can get Arianna Grande’s song 7 Rings out of my head. IT HAS BEEN IN THERE FOR DAYS. GAH!
I haven’t done one of these in a while but I’ve been experimenting and trying some new things (some worked, some failed miserably) that I wanted to share with you guys. Have you been digging a new product lately? Let me know in the comments!
Coconut Cacao Superfoods Granola: I mentioned this in Friday’s post because I tend to get obsessive about my breakfast foods (I have eaten rice cakes with almond butter every day for a full year without complaint!). I picked this up recently at Aldi because I was drawn to the ancient grains (amaranth and millet), and chocolate chips and honey give it a light sweet flavor. This with plain yogurt = absolutely delicious. Final verdict: ?♀️?♀️?♀️?♀️?♀️Wegman’s Cucumber Wonder Water: I wish Wegman’s sold this in giant jugs because it would be much better for the environment, but in the meantime, I treat myself every few weeks to a case of 12. Refreshing and delicious. Final verdict: ?♀️?♀️?♀️?♀️Shea Moisture Transforming Clay-to-Cream Cleanser: I don’t know where this came from but it appeared in my drawer one day. I am obsessed with the smell of this and love how it begins as a clay and transforms to a silky cream with just a little bit of water. Leaves skin feeling nourished and very clean. Final verdict: ?♀️?♀️?♀️?♀️?♀️Mermaid Wizdom Healing Cream: This one is interesting because all products created by Mermaid Wizdom are infused with CBD oils. I also received an invigorating salt scrub and a clay masque, but the healing cream is what my skin needs most this time of year so that’s what I’ve been using. The mint scent is intoxicating and has a soothing tingle when applying—and all of their products are 100% natural. If you click this link, you’ll receive a FREE full-sized bottle of their 250mg CBD oil with your first purchase! Final verdict: ?♀️?♀️?♀️?♀️
Didn’t make the cut:Dr. Bronner’s Cinnamon All-One Toothpaste: I love everything about this brand and what they stand for, and it’s one of the best tasting toothpastes I’ve ever tried, but it leaves a weird aftertaste that I can’t shake no matter how many times I gargle. No fairies for you!Love Beauty and Planet Deodorant: I told a girlfriend recently that at this point I’m just going to start rubbing aluminum and parabens under my arms. Seriously, I have tried every all-natural deodorant on the market and NOTHING seems to work for my pits. Am I overly smelly? Are natural deodorants made for people who sweat glitter? Why can’t I find one that works?!
The scent is lovely (Coconut Water and Mimosa Flower), but I had to reapply four times a day (!!) which is possibly an indication that I have the sweat glands of a hormonal teenager. Whatever. It didn’t work and Bryan was glad when I switched back to my normal deodorant (ha!).
Haven’t yet tried but next up:Weleda Skin Food: My mom has sworn by Weleda products for years (because we’re German) and their Skin Food gets rave reviews on Amazon for giving your skin that healthy glow. Will post a review once I’ve tried!
PS: Please stop by on Instagram tomorrow where I will be running a contest with a few other bloggers—one lucky winner will receive a $500 gift card to go shopping at TJ Maxx and Home Goods!
