And here we are, a full 15 days into a new month, in a new year. As I’ve done in the past, I’d like to keep this month’s goal list as simple as possible. To be honest, I’m just not feeling it right now. I had such high hopes for this year but Buster’s sudden passing kind of derailed things a bit. At the same time, I love this practice of writing out goals, so I’d like to see this month through and give myself something to work towards.
But before I list goals for January, let’s see how I did in December!
Don’t sweat the small stuff > you know, I think I did really well with this one. December was a great month, with two concerts, two Christmases, a flurry of activity, and playdates. I didn’t sweat the small stuff as much as I thought I would, and I’m very happy about that
Nourish mind, body, and soul. Put down the leftover candy bars from Halloween and get back on the treadmill (easy for me to say since I singlehandedly just polished off an entire bag. Ooops!) > well, I stopped eating the Halloween candy, so that was a win. I did, however, indulge in Christmas treats instead, and I’m not sure that I got much exercise unless lifting fork to face counts
Move stuff into the shed. We have a contractor coming in the next week to put up sheetrock and extend the second floor in the shed so we can finally have storage space. Our house doesn’t have a basement or a garage, but there is a cute little “cabin” in our backyard that is just begging to be finished > Also a fail. The cabin is now finished, but still needs to be painted. We should be moving stuff to that second floor though, and no reason we haven’t done that yet
So, one out of three. That’s okay 🙂
Here are some things I’d like to accomplish this month. Don’t forget to link up below—I’d love to see what you have on your list, my sweet ones.
Do what feels good
Write it out
And there you have it. Three simple, attainable, and manageable goals. I think by not quantifying my reading goal this month, I might be able to read more books than I typically do on average (about 1-2 a month; I’m such a slow reader!). Here’s to a great rest of the month, you guys!
