Well this admittedly wasn’t one of my favorite weeks. As you may have heard, my baby Buster passed over the rainbow bridge on Tuesday and I’ve been trying to come to terms with the news ever since. My heart still aches and I know there will be a hole for a while, but I’m trying to take things day by day and remember all of the good times and silly moments we had together in six years. They help immensely. Each Friday, I link up with Lindsay and Beth and we share the things in our lives that bring us joy and I don’t want to break tradition. I know Baba would want it that way.
And so, on to this week’s happy.
Lap of Love and the beautiful gift of comfort they provided. Honestly, I keep thinking about how peaceful everything was for Baba, just as we would want it to be, and the beautiful angel vet who came by. She hugged us all and it provided a much needed sense of calm during such a difficult and sad time
Text messages with Molly (Buster’s other momma). I’m not sure I would have been able to get through the past few days without her, and laughing at old memories heals my soul and heart
The calls, the texts, the comments, the handwritten card from Bryan’s niece, the donation to the ASPCA in Buster’s memory, the general wave of sadness but also love we have shared with all who knew him… Buster’s legacy will never be forgotten
Bryan’s mom for picking up a lifetime supply of Christmas wrapping paper from Target (seriously, if you are in need and local, you are welcome to some rolls!)
The return of The Bachelor
The sweet couple I had an entire conversation with in German at Panera this morning
Comfy pajama and yoga pants for when I just can’t make myself presentable; flannel shirts when I have to be seen in public but don’t want to try too hard
And that’s it for me this week. I’ll be back at it next week, and hope you’ll stay tuned to my Instagram feed, where I’ll have special offers and updates on a few products I’ve been trying and experimenting with (hemp oil, neck cream, and a brand-new vegan yogurt). Make sure to follow me here if you don’t already!
What’s on tap for the weekend? I think I’m going to be a bit lazy, but have grand plans of watching Surviving R Kelly and also meeting up with my momma <3 Wishing you all a beautiful weekend, sweet friends. XO
