My body isn’t quite ready for the cold winter chill and frost that has settled in bones and on cars in New Jersey. My mom’s Tommy Hilfiger winter coat arrived yesterday, a gift Bryan and I will be giving her this holiday season. I very briefly toyed with the idea of keeping it myself because it keeps warm for the coldest negative temperatures, and it’s also incredibly cute (side note: I PROMISE I would never do that!!). The winter is coming, y’all, whether we like it or not.
Last month I made some goals that were small and manageable because I needed the break. Let’s have a look back at November and see how we did, shall we?
- Self-care (back again). I want to dedicate the month of November to recovery—physically, spiritually, and emotionally – YAY! This is a big win in my book. I’m proud to say I have really focused on all things ME and I don’t feel bad in the slightest 🙂
- Disconnect and reconnect. I have a lot of plans I’m looking forward to over the next few weeks with girlfriends, blog friends, coworkers, and Bryan. I’m excited to get back out there and be social again! – WHEE! I did this. Bryan and I went to a comedy show, I had my company holiday party on a boat, I met up with new blog friends, saw friends and their babies, reconnected with family. November was a good month
- Read, learn, and grow – yes and no. I could do more. I can always do more. I’d like to keep this in the back of my head as I round out 2018 because I feel like there is always room for progress <3
December feels jam packed, so I’d prefer not to cram in too many obligations, so will keep this one short and sweet (again). Here are some things I’m hoping to accomplish this month:
Don’t sweat the small stuff
Nourish mind, body, and soul. Put down the leftover candy bars from Halloween and get back on the treadmill (easy for me to say since I singlehandedly just polished off an entire bag. Ooops!)
Move stuff into the shed. We have a contractor coming in the next week to put up sheetrock and extend the second floor in the shed so we can finally have storage space. Our house doesn’t have a basement or a garage, but there is a cute little “cabin” in our backyard that is just begging to be finished
And that’s it, folks. Let me know what’s on your goals list for December and let’s make it a great month!
