And here we are, another month into 2018, and more than halfway through the year. I feel as though I wait all year for THIS—the summer—to frolic and play and do all the things and see all the concerts. Now that it’s here, time needs to stand still, long enough for me to snap mental pictures for the memory bank.
Because it’s here one moment, gone the next, right?
June was a good month for me personally. After years (literally!) of house hunting, we made an offer on a home we both love and it was accepted! I attended a bridal and baby shower, managed to stay afloat despite an increase in workload and freelance assignments, we moved to the apartment downstairs, I spent time working on my insta strategy, and caught up with friends, via phone at the very least when plans couldn’t materialize in person. Let’s take a look back at the goals I made for June to see how I did:
Learn / Grow—not as much of this as I would have liked
Do something nice for someone, unprovoked—yes! I was able to help the girl downstairs sell her stuff online and helped her with odds and ends before she moved to sunny Florida
Spend more time writing—fail. I’m sad about this one, but adding back to the list for July
Meditate– I’ll cross this off because I do recall a few days of sitting in stillness and even using my Simple Habit app Get in a creative headspace—take longer walks, visit new environments, step outside of my comfort zone—YES. Not as much as I would have liked, but I’ll take it!
Total score: 3/5. Not bad! This month, I’d like to keep things simple, and stress the importance of self-care, self-care, self-care.
Get a manicure. Schedule a haircut.
Finish two books
Spend time outdoors and take in all the fresh air
Write more and with renewed passion
Pick up the phone when people call. I am so guilty of letting calls go to voicemail but answering means I won’t have to go through my messages later and I can take care of pressing matters quickly
What are some of your goals for the month, sweet ones? Let me know in the comments and don’t forget to link up with us! Also! Here’s a sneak peek of a review/giveaway coming to the blog this Wednesday for Fit Rebel leggings. How cute is this dragonfly design??
