Happy June (what?? When did that happen?!). I received an email from a dear friend yesterday and her feelings of overwhelm resonated. Despite the fact that we will shortly have the easiest move in the history of ever, we still have a few weeks to pack, sort, sell furniture, donate clothing, and move out. This morning we had someone come by to do a walk-through of our apartment and it’s a complete mess in here and I think I apologized 50 times to the realtor who told me not to clean, that it was just an assessment. Fingers crossed that this extra time leads us to the home we’ve been waiting for 🙂
If you’re new here, WELCOME! Each Friday I link up with Lindsay, Beth, and the beautiful people from our Peaceful Posse Facebook group (are you a member yet? Come join and hang out!). I’m diving right in, but sending you sunflowers and rainbows and senior dog kisses. Hope everyone has a beautiful weekend ahead and please forgive my brevity! Some things that made me happy this week:
Making up with a friend. Minor miscommunication snowballed and it was good to chat and get to a better place—also, truthfully, it hurt my heart to be in that spot with her
Dinner with friends… and going back in time to a place that will sadly soon close its doors
Walking around Montclair—the other day I passed a sign that said “Love Where You Live” and it felt like another sign from the universe
Extra time with Buster this week and long walks with my boys
Rita’s
Getting to see my friends at a shower this weekend
Chats with our realtor
Text messages with Tamara
Hope everyone has a great weekend ahead, and let me know what’s new in your world, sweet friends!
I love seeing Buster in that wagon, it just warms my heart! I’m glad you made up with your friend, I know how hard those things can be sometimes. I hope all goes well with moving and getting all of that ready even though it is a very short and easy move! I hope you have a great weekend darling! Love you!
Okay I had to go catch up on your blog to understand the moving super close thing. That is super exciting but not any less stressful to have to pack up and move. I was just saying the other day I am so happy we aren’t moving for another year. We have more time to de-clutter before we have to pack it all up and go. Since having Ben, I have been a cleaning freak. Everything must go! lol. Have a great weekend friend!
Looks like Buster is enjoying his walk 🙂
Aw, Buster in his wagon. He’s such a cutie! I hope that this extra time with the new place will allow you to find the PERFECT house. Yay for making up with a friend; I always hate that feeling too.

Buster in that wagon just totally made my night. I know you will find the perfect house at just the right time. Sending love and good vibes! XXXOOO
I love our text messages too!! They’re such quality conversations.
And Buster! ahh! And it’s easy to love where you live when you live in Montclair! Seriously!
Also, that hot dog needs to be in my home.
Buster in the wagon – he is adorable!
That quote is definitely a message from the universe. I love when a quote or message feels like it was meant for you 🙂
I’m glad you made up with your friend. Miscommunications can happen so easily and with time it gets more difficult to patch things up.
Hope you are having a wonderful weekend so far.
xoxo
Oh, Buster is so sweet. I love to see doggies in wagons…I mean it’s just precious. Happy to hear you were able to clear the air with your friend. She must be special to you and worth it to take that time and effort. You guys are moving? I have to read the earlier post and find out what’s going on. I’ve seen that quote as well “Love where you live” and it really made me think. We want to relocate eventually and it’s hard to feel part of a community when you’re waiting for a different place or house.
Sounds like a good week for you. Congrats. If I’m not mistaken (and could be), I believe that hotdog statue is on Long Island.
I love that you pull Buster in a wagon! So cute. Proximity move or not, it’s still moving, which is a pain. You have a good attitude about it! We are in a DIY frenzy at our casa, getting prepped for back to back weekends of company. I kinda wish we were already done with the visits! I’m exhausted just thinking about it!
