Do you experience agita when you open your file cabinet? Side note: Do you even have a file cabinet, or do you do everything electronically these days? If you are a dinosaur like me, raise your wee arms! Also, let’s have a look at this epic disaster of a filing system that is currently in my apartment:
More on that in just a bit.
I started 2018 with high hopes of getting it all together. Now that we’re in May (MAY! When did that happen?!), I’m beginning to realize the “if you think it, it will come” mentality doesn’t really work. Today I want to provide you with some easy-to-use products to help get your life in order AND increase your productivity. Don’t believe me? Here are a few stats!
- Writing by hand has been proven to be more effective for learning and remembering
- More than 50% of college students say they learn best when they write things down
- Expressing gratitude by way of writing notes is great for the brain—also it’ll make someone feel really special ❤ (okay so that last part is from me, but it’s the truth!)
I received a box from Paper & Packaging filled with goods that delighted my inner organizational nerd. Let’s have a look!
This book was written for the aspiring entrepreneur, and features valuable insights for anyone looking to increase productivity across the board. You can confidently read (and finish!) this New York Times bestseller by participating in the #15pagesaday campaign—click here to find out more.
Of all the goodies in my box, I think I’m most excited about this one. Guys, I really tried bullet journaling, and maybe I’ll pick it up again one day, but all the coloring! LOL, it was just too much. What I love the most about this planner is its compact size and the smart use of space. It has everything I need! This planner is broken into three undated sections (daily, weekly, and monthly), and is designed to help you put equal focus on your goals and accomplishments. LOVE!
Erin Condren Note Cards
This is my first experience with the very notorious (at least in bloggy circles) EC 🙂 I’m not disappointed! Her note cards are made of beautiful quality and I love the watercolor print. It’s a reminder to reach out and send notes like we used to—these would brighten anyone’s day.
Knock, Knock Goals Notepad
This notepad is great to tackle your daily to-dos. From scheduling meetings and email follow-ups to personal phone calls and grocery shopping, you can feel the satisfaction of crossing off things from your list one by one (I know I’m not the only one who feels this way!).
Carson Dellosa File Folders
Back to that file cabinet I mentioned earlier. These folders are so friggin’ adorable (and reversible!) and my weekend project is to get this particular area of my life organized. The hipster design collection will add a burst of color to an otherwise mundane task. Sometimes you can make the ordinary extraordinary!
General Pencil Company
Are you a pencil sniffer? Don’t think I’m weird but this is a habit of mine that always makes me think of my early days of writing when pencils were my preferred writing utensil (before the keyboard). These beautiful hardwood pencils are pre-sharpened and made in America—they also smell delightful, ha!
Cardboard Frame and Quote from Rework
I experimented with two different images–one taken at a beer fest (our early days of dating!), and the other an inspirational quote, but you can use anything that inspires you for your office environment. Looking at something that makes you smile each morning can help you stay inspired at work!
