Date night done right with BabbleBoxx

My favorite Valentine’s Day celebrations involve very little fanfare: a funny movie and/or complete ownership of the remote control, a box of chocolates, a heaping glass of wine, and someone to cook me dinner. It’s one of those holidays that comes preloaded with a lot of expectations, doesn’t it? I don’t know how to turn those off (though if you have any suggestions, I’m all ears!), but I do have some advice on having the BEST Valentine’s slash Galentine’s Day ever, regardless of your circumstances (not ready to mingle, single, in a relationship, or married).

Edible Arrangements
If you’re looking for a unique Valentine gift, look no further! Edible Arrangements sent me their Valentine’s Day Gift Set complete with balloons, semi-sweet chocolate dipped strawberries (my favorite!), pineapple heart slices, grapes, and delicious Belgian chocolate pops. I’ll be honest, this didn’t last very long in our apartment. Bryan and I kept nibbling and fighting over the pops, but it was such a fun treat to have in our home. I love that it’s made locally and it made me feel special to have an Edible Arrangement hand-delivered by the sweetest man. This would be a wonderful gift for anyone—neighbor, friend, family member, or anyone who could use a pick-me-up.

I had a mini photoshoot the other day, and my friend’s son totally photobombed me and stole the show. He wanted my balloons in exchange for strawberries, and really, who could resist that face?

Maidenform: Modern Beauty Collection
If you’re looking for something sexy for yourself (or a loved one—MEOW!), Maidenform makes some incredibly soft and matching bra/undies sets. I love the raspberry icing color, which appears very nude under clothes and comfortable for all day use. I had the bra on the other day for 6 hours of house hunting, lunch with Bryan’s parents, and a visit to see my friend’s baby in the hospital, and I barely noticed it. If that’s not a ringing endorsement for a bra, then I don’t know what is 🙂

Their lightly-lined bras feature a plunging neckline, lace, and cute, flirty straps, and all items are made of stretchy material that lies flat under clothing (say goodbye to granny panties!).

Click here for more info on their lightly lined demi bra, and here for their lace thong panty.

Traveler Beer Company: Lucky Traveler Blackberry Shandy
If you are a beer drinker, and like to try the latest and greatest brews, check out the line of shandys from Traveler Beer, straight from Burlington, VT. The Blackberry Shandy is an American craft wheat ale made of real blackberries. Admittedly, I’m the only German you’ll ever meet who doesn’t drink beer (I KNOW!) but Bryan sampled the six-pack and liked the light refreshing flavor (his sentiments were echoed by the man at the liquor store where I made my purchase). If you’d like to pick up your own Lucky Traveler beer, click here to find a retailer near you.

Chesapeake Bay Candle
Nothing spells romance like candles (I just typed out that sentence and accidentally wrote “nothing smells romance like candles” and I feel like that would make a really awesome tagline for a candle company, ha!). Anyway, we always have candles lit in our apartment. It’s an inexpensive way to create sexy mood lighting. I absolutely LOVED the scent of my love + passion grapefruit mango from Chesapeake Bay. Synonymous with stylish design and nature-inspired fragrance, this company creates premium home fragrances that are enriched with natural essential oils and made with a soy blend wax for a cleaner burn.

Note: I find that women are sometimes reluctant to buy themselves candles (or just the ones in my circle??) so treat yourselves, or gift this to a loved one in your life <3

Popcorn, Indiana
I inadvertently received two bags of popcorn from this company and I couldn’t stop snacking. I physically had to restrain myself to tear open the second bag so I could photograph it (AM I A GREMLIN?!). Popcorn, Indiana is a real place deep in the heart of small-town America, and also the birthplace of incredibly addictive popcorn, apparently 🙂 This certified gluten free, non GMO, kosher popcorn is made with whole grains and doesn’t contain any artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives. You don’t have to worry about high fructose corn syrup either—their kettle corn is a tasty snack you can feel GOOD about eating!

Have you ever tried any of these items, and what are you doing for Valentine’s Day this year? Let me know in the comments, and hope everyone has a great week ahead!

My husband is a huge fan of that kettle corn. We also received an edible arrangement as a gift a few years ago and it was really good!

Great gift ideas Charlotte.

I’ve never had an edible arrangement before, but I’ve always wanted to try one. Plus, it might be a way to get the kids to eat something semi-healthy! My husband is a beer drinker, so I can’t wait to check out that Shandy. Great list…now, I better get shopping!

My boyfriend isn’t a big fan of popcorn (though I am!). We’ll actually be flying to LA on Valentine’s Day so we’ll be together the entire day. We probably won’t be doing anything crazy but we’ll spend a lot of time together.

Love all these gift ideas! We typically treat ourselves to a nice dinner and an expensive bottle of Scotch (that we drink over the course of the following year). But I love these ideas too! XOXO

This is a cute idea. I really love the pink shade of that saucy bra and undie number. I’ve never heard of that beer before. My husband is a beer nut and buys all things craft beer this and that. It might not be in canada yet – damn Canadians. We will have to look out for it!
Great ideas Charlotte!

What a great box of goodies! Those chocolate covered strawberries look so good 🙂

Oooh all fun items! I LOVE candles, and Edible Arrangements – there’s a small store near my house and whenever I go past it, I crave chocolate dipped fruit. LOL I’m single, but I’ll happily treat myself. I went to the Melting Pot with my mom and sister last week and we all treated ourselves. We love our fondue. 🙂

These all look perfect, Charlotte. I love the lingerie. I have a weakness for pretty under things, pajamas, etc. I go over the top and have too many. Can a girl have too many of these things? I think not. Nice round up from babblebox. Hope you and Bryan have a romantic V-Day! We have no plans. I just bought him a card and printed a poem out for him that he likes. I’m hoping for chocolates!!

The only item I have tried is I received a Edible Arrangements after I had my stroke! It was such a fun & thoughtful get well present I received. It really was so yummy! I haven’t heard of the other products before. I’m glad that you have introduced me to them! The popcorn looks so good. You can never go wrong with tasty popcorn that is even gluten free, non GMO, and kosher popcorn! I love that it comes in bags like that now! I’m so use to just regular popcorn in those long plastic bags, microwaveable popcorn, or movie popcorn. It is so nice when you don’t have to pop popcorn and you can just get straight to the point . . . . which is eating it & (in my case) gobbling it up! 🙂

OMG. Fun. I love Babbleboxx so much and this one takes the cake. Well, they all do. I do love Edible Arrangements and Chesapeake Bay Candles and popcorn for sure. Bras? YES.

There are so many awesome products in this box! I’ve never heard of Babbleboxx before but will be checking them out. I am down for any date night that involves food. 🙂
