I was not compensated for this post. I received a sweatshirt from Confused Girl LA in exchange for a review; all opinions are entirely my own.
In an effort to lead a more mindful and healthy lifestyle, I’ve adapted a bit more yoga and gym into my weekly routine. Typically, I don’t really mind the clothes I work out in but there are days when I have errands to run or people to see or heaven knows what else going on and it would be nice to wear something a bit more fashionable than an oversized t-shirt and shorts.
(Also, I think Murphy’s Law dictates that those are the days you bump into that girl from high school you couldn’t stand or your ex in the grocery aisle).
I recently received an email from Confused Girl in the City founder Giovanna who introduced me to her line of healing crystal inspired activewear that looks just as good off the mat as it does in a yoga studio. Building the bridge between spirit and apparel, the Confused Girl line features crystal jewelry, crystal bottoms (including leggings, capris, and shorts), tops, and more. I had a difficult time deciding on an item to review, but ultimately, I fell in love with this sweatshirt.
A bit of backstory about Giovanna: along her spiritual journey, she met a healer who introduced her to crystals. One day while meditating, she decided to create a line of clothing inspired by these beautiful crystals. When people ask her about the name of her brand, she delivers this beautiful heartfelt message:
“It is really easy to accept yourself when you are feeling good and your life is the way you want it. But it isn’t so easy to accept yourself when things are tough and you are confused.
We shame ourselves in times we need to be embracing ourselves.”
I adore my new sweatshirt and the message embroidered on the back.
I am spirit.
It feels at once empowering and hopeful and reminds me of Gabby Bernstein’s message that the universe has my back.
