I was not compensated for this review. I received a pair of eyeglasses from Venn Eyewear; all opinions are entirely my own.
I was just seven years old when my eye doctor told my parents that I was already legally blind. All efforts to feed me carrots had been made in vain—I was on the path to bad eyes and ginormous eyeglasses, whether I liked it or not (side note: I did not like it).
I experimented with many unstylish, coke-bottle glasses and hundreds of contact lenses over the years. Without getting into the specifics, I’ll leave you with this true story about a time when I went to see my eye doctor and two assistants discussed my terrible eyesight in front of me without thinking that I could hear them (they must have experienced a momentary lapse of judgement and thought I was there for my hearing?)… oh! And then there was a time when I accidentally sat on the lap of a poor chap in the waiting room as I was having my eyes dilated. God, that was embarrassing.
Anyway, the point is, my eyes are important to me right now and I’ve tried all that I can to reverse the effects of degeneration by taking eye supplements, using eye drops throughout the day, resting my eyes whenever possible, and even doing eye exercises. Sadly, like many of you reading, I can’t escape from the one thing that’s likely doing the most damage—prolonged periods of time in front of the computer. The bright lights of my Mac and the large amount of time I spend straining to see the screen have been detrimental and I feel eye fatigue at the end of each day as a result.
I recently was introduced to Venn Eyewear and have been wearing these glasses every time I sit down to do work on the computer for about a week. Already I’m noticing a substantial difference—my eyes feel less strained, the lights on my computer are dimmed making the screen easier to read, and I haven’t had to use as many eye drops for redness.
If computers aren’t your thing, but you like to check your email from your phone late at night, these glasses can help prevent the blinding glare from the screen. They’re also perfect for gamers. Here is a bit more information about Venn from their website:

I received the Sutton glasses in Tortoise Shell (which you can find here , in case you were curious!).
