Friday linky 9/23

rev-person-768422_1920Finally. Friday. Please join the ever-amazing Lindsay and Krysten in our linkup—and read what’s making me smile this week.
  •  Flannel and flip-flops. It might not be a fashion statement yet, but it’s the perfect wardrobe for the in-between weather we’re having
  • Long conversations with neighbors, about everything and nothing at all. That’s the great thing about community and being a social butterfly—I love getting to know the people around me
  • The movie Sisters with Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. There are some seriously snort-worthy moments. Also there’s a guy who reminds me so much of my friend when he gets drunk
  • Possible beach trip this weekend! Still ironing out the details but I’m really hoping to sit in sand with a cocktail. Buster is excited, too (though he’ll join us when the sun is setting)
  • An amazing giveaway and discount to offer readers for the Happiness Boutique—coming to the blog soon! I’m so happy they reached out because their items are adorable and I love their mission
  • The book In Twenty Years by Allison Winn Scott. I can’t remember which blogger suggested this one to me but I’m about halfway through and already in love
  • I made a book donation to the library this week—it feels good to know that some of my reading material will hopefully be a great escape for someone else

What’s making you smile this week, dear friends? Happy weekending to you, sweet peas. <3

I am all about flannel and flip flops here near Raleigh. I’ve never heard of Happiness Boutique, but I pulled them up in another browser and heading there next. Sounds like an awesome giveaway!

Nice, enjoyable things to reflect on. I like these posts of yours. My highlight of the week will be riding to Longwood Gardens tomorrow. If you’ve never been there, you should go.

I still need to see Sisters but I should!! What’s making me smile this week is a trip to Seattle to see the rest of my team for work.

Hello my dear! It sounds like a pretty great week. I love bringing out the flannels now, and I was wearing flip flops today too. Hope you make it to the beach! I need to see that movie, and now I want to read that book too. Have a beautiful weekend!

It’s definitely time for flannel here, too but need socks now. My feet are always cold which means summer is officially over. 🙁 hope you get to the beach. I’m grateful for the wine tour I went on with my Beau. Picked up some tasty wines. Happy weekend Charlotte!

Flannel and flip-flops! I love it! Not that I’ve been able to wear any flannel or long sleeves here in KY yet. Apparently we have not received the memo that Autumn has officially arrived as it has been 90+ degrees here all week! I, personally, am ready for a respite from t the heat. Once upon a time, before perimenopause hit, my favorite fall outfit combination was shorts and sweatshirts. Have a great weekend!

I started Sisters but didn’t finish it, but I was snort-laughing through it!
Also, flannel and flip-flops! I think that has totally caught on in colleges!! And still!
