Friday linky 9/9

– Posted in: featured

What’s that expression of fitting a 10-pound bag of poop into a 5-lb bag?! Is that it? Never mind. It’s been a nutty week, is what I’m trying to say, so bring on le weekend and let’s move on to grateful stuffs. As always don’t forget to link up with Krysten and Lindsay—can’t wait to read what’s making you smile this week!

  • I went to see the dentist earlier this week and somehow managed to convince him and his wife that I was in college. Through a mouth full of saliva and god knows what else I told them I could recommend a wonderful eye doctor
  • I’m going ghost hunting tonight. I’m unbelievably excited (and nervous), but possibly even more pumped to have an evening and mini roadtrip with my bestie
  • Spicy Thai salad (hold the chicken) from Panera
  • Melyssa Griffin’s Pinterest webinar—should have more info about that next week
  • Buster reunion soon!
  • STRANGER THINGS. Omg, I’m officially obsessed with this show but we only have a few episodes left and I want to savor them instead of watching them all in a sitting
  • I’m finding a lot more advertisers getting ballsy in their blogger requests (no, I will not write two blog posts FOR FREE in exchange for a product that I’ll have to return). Conversely, I’m finding that bloggers are often asking astronomical figures for campaigns (especially from influencer networks who don’t have the same budget as a massive brand). We really need to figure out a way to bridge this gap. Have suggestions?

Please tell me what’s making you grin this week, my sweet peas. Also a dear friend’s momma is starting chemo this week. If you could keep her in your thoughts and prayers, it would mean the world. XOXO

Panera Bread salads are SO GOOD. How do they make them so delicious?!

Ooooh, ghost hunting sounds interesting. Let us know how it goes. I watched Stranger Things in August and was also hooked. My daughter got me onto it. The fact that you’re watching it now will make ghost hunting even more haunting.

I’m going for a girls’ weekend at a friend’s cabin later today and so looking forward to it. All we do is laugh the whole weekend.

I’m curious to hear more about the Pinterest seminar you mention.

My SIL is getting her results today from a lumpectomy. So will send prayers all round.
Have a good one, Charlotte!

Oh, you are going to love the end of Stranger Things!! We had to wait a week or two to finish it because we were told it’s best to watch the last two at the same time. I so agree that it is. Hey, there’s nothing wrong with anyone thinking you are in college!! 🙂 Prayers for your Mom!! XO

Two posts for free in exchange for a product you’d have to return? No thank you! 🙂

I’ve been looking at Pinfinite Growth.

And have a great time ghost hunting! I can’t wait to hear all about it. 🙂

I love hearing about your life and thoughts. I’m eager to see Stranger Things which has been getting raves everywhere. Business deals between sponsors and bloggers are hard because there isn’t enough history and custom for both sides to form a consensus about what is worth what. It’ll iron out over years but is confusing now.

Well, how was your evening? Did you survive? 😉
Glad to hear Buster is making a reunion with y’all soon. 🙂
I have to take a stab at Stranger Things. Everyone is raving about this show so it must be good.

That’s funny your dentist thought you were in college. That’s awesome! Haha!

Have a great weekend lovey. XOXO

Oooh, ghost hunting!?! I love all things Gothic and spooky in my reading and movie watching, but I am way too much of a chicken to actually go ghost hunting. I cannot wait to hear what your experiences were! Also, I finished Stranger Things about two weeks ago, and I am still having withdrawals from it. Season 2 better hurry up and get here (and in the meantime, I might just re-watch the first season!). 😀
