Hello and good morning! Did everyone have a nice weekend/Valentine’s (or, as I like to call it, “Disappointment Day”)? Bitter, party of one! I’m totally kidding, you guys. It’s just not my thing, BUT if you did something special with your special someone, please let me know about it in the comments!
I read a really great article the other day in a local magazine about how February is the perfect time to check in on resolutions and self-imposed goals you set earlier in the year. Since I feel as though I started off the New Year on such a high, I’d hate to see so many of my achievements slip between the cracks, but it’s what tends to happen in February when the momentum slips a bit. That’s why this is the perfect time to hit the reset button and start the whole damn thing over.
Let’s just forget that January 1st through February 14th ever happened, shall we?
My word of the year for 2016 is focus, which I’m already struggling with. Since I sat down to write this blog, I’ve gotten up to take out the dog, make tea, give myself a manicure, answer emails, do some work, and brainstorm topics for my other blog. This whole business of being keyed into the moment every moment is very difficult for me as this adorable video will demonstrate. Basically this is what it looks like from the moment I spring out bed to the moment I collapse back into the sheets.

Clearly I need help. And maybe it’s okay to ask for it and to admit that I’ve gotten derailed along the way. Have you ever had to hit the reset button? Do you consider it to be a weakness or a strength to ask for help?
