IV Chic review and weekend recap

– Posted in: featured

Good morning, friends! Hope you are all faring well after the weekend. Monday morning kind of snuck up on me a bit quicker than I was anticipating even though I enjoyed a relatively relaxing and snow-filled weekend of online shopping, errand running, and doggie snuggles. Also I found some time to finish some books and get caught up on Better Call Saul; any other Breaking Bad fans watching??

Yesterday I was able to convince Bryan to take some pictures of a piece of hair jewelry (YES! This is a thing and I’m excited to tell you about it today) so I can give you guys the scoop. That said, I realized that 1) I’m a terrible model and 2) 90% of my photographs are outtakes. I really need to work on getting more comfortable in front of the camera.

A few weeks ago, I actually dressed myself up and looked like a human being while Bryan and I hit the town for a delicious vegan dinner on Valentine’s Day. Photos did not survive because sadly, it was pouring snow again and the look I was going for melted down my face and caused the hair to frizzies. So I tried yesterday to recreate the look at home with this gorgeous Nashville piece, part of the IV Chic “Chic by Night” collection.

If you have curly hair like me, this is a great way to keep it neat and tidy (I found that a bun works best). The band is elastic and I think it’s just as beautiful as a bracelet if you don’t feel like spending the time lassoing your hair.

In other awesome news, I would like to send a heartfelt thank-you to Multitask Momma for sharing my article “Is the First Year of Marriage as Bad as They Say?” in her weekly roundup of favorite posts. I’m going to spend some time later today reading all of the other featured posts; I’m just honored my words touched you and that you thought to include me. Thank you, my sweet.

Oh that looks so pretty, it looks great in your hair! I’m in the horrible process of growing my hair out so hopefully I can wear pretty hair things again soon.

The hair accessory is really pretty, and I love that it can double as a bracelet 🙂

I love your pic, Charlotte. Your hair is so pretty. I just cut mine off so I’ve no use for a hair bracelet, unfortunately. The IV Chic is so pretty! Congrats on your post getting deserved recognition! My weekend was so, so as I was down with a nasty cold again. Feeling much better today though! xo
