I was contacted recently by CozyWallArt.com to try out one of their wall decals, which are easy to take on and off and provide a nice pop of design in any room. What I liked most about the wall stickers I saw while browsing through their site was that there were at least a handful that even men would approve of (like my discerning boyfriend). After much contemplation, Bryan and I agreed on this cool Damask Cats wall decal, which looks SO beautiful in our bedroom.
Let’s face it—unless you move into a palatial apartment with multiple rooms and man/woman caves, chances are, you’ll end up lugging around boxes filled with your precious memorabilia from one apartment to the next. Like the “Pace” rainbow-colored flag I have stashed under the bed or my box of Tori Amos stuff that’s been hiding out in the closet. I can’t find a place for either of those things, 1) because they’re decidedly a piece of me and 2) they don’t fit with the approved wall décor as agreed upon in our cohabitation contract. It’s important to agree on your wall hangings.
(Similarly, Bryan has a few posters and prints from his college days that received the hell no seal of non-approval from me).
The nice thing about these wall stickers is that they can easily be removed and they won’t damage your walls (an important tidbit for any renter).
The dimensions for our chosen decal were slightly bigger than some of the others I saw on the website, and we had some difficulty getting it to adhere to the wall in our bedroom. That’s because the paint is uneven, clumpy, and a bit tacky. We let it set overnight, however, and the backing easily removed in the morning. I will say that times like these I am grateful for a boyfriend with near perfect vision and one who prides himself on measuring everything (unlike my method of randomly throwing things at the wall and hoping they make design sense).
CozyWallArt.com has a variety of wall decals, quotes, patterns, and so much more to spruce up ANY space in your apartment or home. I will say, too, their nursery hangings are beyond adorable. I probably spent the most time looking at those before realizing I don’t have a child and couldn’t justify ordering something only to have it stashed away for some sunny day.
Check out their website, follow them on Twitter, like them on Facebook, and stalk their pins on Pinterest. Their customer service is eager to please AND they even sent me a few Dum Dum lollipops in my order. I love it when brands throw in little extras and CozyWallArt gets a huge thumbs-up from me–they were very helpful when we had some difficulty getting the decal to stick to the wall.
