As I mentioned in my previous post, I attended a Singles in America blog event recently with a great panel moderated by Millionaire Matchmaker Patti Stanger and hosted by Single Edition Media. Tending to the bar were two handsome (ahem, also taken) gentlemen who were there on behalf of Van Gogh Vodka concocting Valentines Day cocktails. Of course I kicked back a few as soon as I got there. I mean, what do you think this is?
Vodka cocktails I enjoyed at the event
I started off with a Cool Peach Bellini which was a mixture of Van Gogh Peach Vodka, Peach Puree, and Prosecco. The bubbly made it feel like I was drinking a mimosa but the peach was a refreshing and unexpected twist. De-lish.
Here I am sucking face with Bryan’s Spice It Up, which was made with 1.5 oz. Van Gogh Rich Dark Chocolate vodka, ¾ oz. milk, ½ oz. cinnamon syrup, and a whole lot of love. I’m serious about that last part—these drinks were said to be aphrodisiacs. Rawr.
Vodka cocktails from the Cocktail Guru
Jonathan (also known as @thecocktailguru on Twitter) gave us a bit of an introduction to the vodka cocktails and their history (and for those who are curious—they are in fact imported from Holland). Van Gogh Vodkas are perfect for the bartender who wants to concoct delicious drinks in the comfort of his/her home and are flavorful and smooth enough to stand on their own. I can attest to that as I promptly did a shot of chocolate vodka as soon as I got home that night.

I was also given a recipe book which featured a lot of different ways to use the peach and chocolate vodkas. Since we’ve been homebound with snowmageddon, I added a shot of the Rich Dark Chocolate vodka to my hot cocoa and OMG, HAVE IT NOW. Sadly I was out of vegan marshmallows, but it was a great way to battle the cold weather temps nonetheless.
So here’s what I’m thinking. It’s the day of love. These drinks are known aphrodisiacs. I think you know where I’m going with this…? Bryan, are you listening? Two words: Dutch Caramel.
Happy Valentine’s Day to you all, my sweets! What are you doing to celebrate?
This is a sponsored post for Van Gogh Vodka. I was given two bottles of Van Gogh Vodka to make Valentines Day cocktails in exchange for this review.
