Oh, hello! It’s been a few days since I’ve touched back down in the states and I’m having a bit of a hard time adjusting to the groove as is usually expected. Jet lag has taken a toll and every time I sit to work, my mind wanders off to the hills and valleys, the dips and peaks of one of the most beautiful countries I’ve ever visited.
Bryan and I covered much ground in the week that we were in Ireland, and were able to see Dublin, Galway, Enniskerry, Boyne Valley, Wicklow, Lismore, Kilkenny, to name just a few towns/regions. I regret that we didn’t make it to all the places on the list. Of course, there’s always next time to explore the Cliffs of Moher, Connemara, the Blarney Castle, Giant’s Causeway, Belfast… One could easily get lost in Ireland for months and still not get a feel for the varied terrain and wild beauty.
This trip was emotionally transforming, eye-opening, and reflective for me. I realized a lot of things along the journey, and it’ll take me some time to process it all. In the meantime, how about we look at some pretty pictures?
These were taken on one of our first legs of our adventure: a tour bus ride through wild Wicklow.
