I had no intention

– Posted in: featured

As you may recall, I had no intention of going to see Phish with any of my friends last night. I was perfectly content to pick up my single ticket at Will Call and roam freely from section to section to drink in the sights and sounds of my 70-somethingish Phish show.

But when a call came in just three hours after I purchased said ticket and a friend offered me a free VIP pass in a lounge with complimentary food/drinks, I couldn’t say no to that either.

I had no intention of ordering two glasses of wine with dinner.

And then proceeding to drink AN ENTIRE BOTTLE of gross Pinot Grigio in the lounge. In my defense, I didn’t realize my glass was being refilled by the very friendly loungeman (I don’t know what else to call him) each time I put my glass down.

I had no intention of vomiting all over the table (I feel REALLY awful about that one) and certainly didn’t expect to pay $140 (how did I pay? And when did I get in?!) but I’m eternally grateful to my friends for putting my drunk ass in a cab and telling the driver to hitch it to Montclair.

I didn’t know that I was that far gone.

I had no intention of writing this post, or even publishing it after 3pm, but those are always my favorites.

I had no intention of going to the show with these guys, but I am so very happy that I did. And THANK YOU to the boys in this pic, now all poppas, for showing me a good time, just like old times. <3 <3 <3

Sometimes the best adventures (aside from maybe the drinking too much, lol) happen when we don’t plan for them but take a risk and say yes! And it sounds like it was a pretty darn good time to me!

Aw, sorry about throwing up! I’m glad you had fun though and whoo fancy way to see a show!

Life happens. And sometimes you kick loose without realizing why. Part of the process…

That sounds like a great time to me! I am glad you had fun, hopefully you didn’t feel too bad today.

Seems like a total debauchery :P.

And I have to agree that after tasting Pinot Grigio it just invites you to taste it over and over again!

Sounds like you have some awesome friends! And obviously, experiences like these always lead to great blog material lol! I’m so bad at remembering to eat while drinking, and for some reason it hits me all at once. Like “I’m fine, I’m fine, I’m on the floor.” Though I’ve gotten much better at realizing my limits (through experiences like yours) as I’ve gotten older. Hope you’re not in too much pain today- wine hangovers are the worst!

Holy cow, Charlotte! I didn’t know about the vomiting part.
Like Dani said, you have awesome friends. I’m glad you made it home safely.
These things happen! Phish rocks!

Oh no! I hope you are feeling better! Throw up from drinking (especially drinking something bad) is the worst! I’m glad you enjoyed the concert though.

Oh my gosh, are you OKAY?! No wonder you said you were hungover for two days! One for the books…. 😉 xo
