What’s up, weekend 4/21

– Posted in: featured

Have you ever felt as though you were in a race against time? Perhaps you’re frantically packing your groceries online at the store or you desperately race after that last bus and you could swear it’s a minute early?

That’s how I’m feeling right now. I have 13% battery life left on my MacBook and, unfortunately, left the charger at my apartment last night though I’m house/dog sitting for my parents about an hour away.

Anyway, that means I’m going to have to make the return trek at some point this morning—and can I just tell you how much I stress having to watch two dogs (who do not get along) 35 miles away from each other?

I digress.

Hope you are all eagerly anticipating the weekend and that you have some fun plans. I don’t, but am kind of excited to see my boyfriend again and take it easy. On to this week’s happy—and don’t forget to link up with my homegirls Lindsay and Chrissy!

Hello Fresh vegetarian food delivery–more on that soon

Walks with this cute fella’ (meet Pedro, my parents pup)

Having my first real bagel in a long time (coincidentally, I happened to choose the day after Passover to go to the bagel store, which was probably not one of my smarter life decisions)

Cherry blossoms in the morning (I like being in the ‘burbs)

Rediscovering old CDs on my iPod, like 10,000 Maniacs Unplugged (SO MUCH GOOD)

Indian food, great wine, and fantastic conversation with a friend

Keeping it short, because my ‘puter is legit about to die. Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend, and catch you on the flipside!

I’m impressed you got this up with 13%! I opened my laptop this morning after getting all settled with all of my stuff to do a couple hours of blog stuff and realized I was at 3%. It died before I could do the mad dash downstairs and back with the charger lol

Wow, you did a lot with only 13% battery! I love the picture of Pedro! And cherry blossoms, I love so much! I was in Washington D.C. one spring when the cherry blossoms were in bloom and they were soooo pretty! Also, I’ve been listening to my old iPod too lately! I loved that 10,000 Maniacs album!

haha, one thing I remember about NJ. The day after Passover, the delis and pizzerias are crowded. Right??
I’m having a stressed morning. THREE grandparents are coming today to rescue me, but Des was the first thing I saw when I opened one eye this morning. Scarlet asked for second breakfast the second I sat down for my FIRST. Des followed me into the shower AND the bathroom. He’s cute.. but.. deep breaths.

I hate when I forget my charger. I feel like I left my arm at home. I am happy that you get to spend some time with your honey and I love that cherry blossom. I love reading your blog. I hope you have an amazing weekend. WOW! My comment was all over the place. Sorry. A.D.D.

Awww, cutie pup! Maniacs unplugged is one of my faves. I used to listen to that cd all the time when my kiddies were little. Brings back good memories. Love Natalie Merchant’s voice. Have a great weekend, Charlotte!

I found my Dashboard Confessional Unplugged CD a few weeks ago and I forgot how much I loved them. And that CD.

OMG I saw the most beautiful cherry blossoms yesterday in Woodstock! I was in awe… and they were right next to a noodle bar, so, even better 😉 Have a great weekend Charlotte!!

Awe. Your parent’s dog is adorable. Bummer that the two dogs don’t get along. I love, love, love rediscovering old music on my Ipod…or even better is finding old mix CD’s. (my car actually plays tapes too, but most of those are pretty worn out)Yes, I’m a nerd. Good luck this weekend, and I hope your battery trip wasn’t too bad.

Everything you write makes me smile and I feel like I’m right there with you! Just thinking about the bagel the day after Passover! 🙂 I’m also super impressed your ipod still works…. I have one that had some great playlists but alas, I can no longer get it to work! Have a great weekend my friend.

Hope you had a great weekend with Bryan!! <3 Love cherry blossoms. I was hoping to see more of them in DC while I was there, but with that random week of snow they got, they weren't out in full bloom like I expected.
Still, they're gorgeous!

Have a good week! <3 <3

Hey girl,
I feel like I haven’t talked to you or Chrissy in ages!
I hope you had a nice weekend and that (hopefully), you’re back at your place? Pedro is pretty dang cute, it’s really too bad both cuties don’t get along, but alas, such is life sometimes.
Did you have a nice weekend? I did, we didn’t do much but those weekends are the best. And I got a lot accomplished, so there’s that. I’m feeling pretty good about life, but it’s only Monday so it’s all too early to tell if this week will go to hell in a handbag or not.

Cheers to a fab week my dear. xoxox
