What’s up, weekend 4/7

– Posted in: featured

Happy Friday, my sweet ones! Don’t forget to link up with the lovely Lindsay and Chrissy for our weekly gratitude list. If you haven’t already, please consider joining the conversation in our new Facebook group The Peaceful Posse–it is a wonderful group of bloggers and we’d absolutely love to have you! And now, on to the happy 🙂
All the birthday love I received this week.

New haircut! My hair stylist was nervous I would regret cutting so much but I told her to keep snipping. Already I’m feeling better about turning 38.

Visiting the town of Denville, NJ, with Bryan. I really liked it and could see myself living there in July (plus, they had old-timey shops, ice cream parlors, and barbers but also an all-natural organic supermarket, so clearly I was sold).

A long walk and talk with my neighbor. She’s a single mom with a job in the city and her outlook on life is always so refreshing to hear. She’s unbelievably positive, but not in a hokey way; she, too, believes in signs from the universe and she kind of talked some sense into me at a time when I needed to hear her words more than ever.

These cranberry oatmeal walnut cookies that I made last night.

Vegetarian empanadas.

Big Little Lies finale (OMG!!! I read the book but I have the memory of a goldfish so I conveniently forgot how it ended).

Donating to emergency care for Caci. This dog completely broke my heart the moment I laid eyes on her and I’m praying for a complete recovery. It makes me so angry that someone could do this to an animal, but I’m so grateful there are angels who protect and care for our four-legged friends. If you are interested in donating, you can do so here.

Speaking of dogs, we get our Buster back this weekend. In the meantime, I’m enjoying photos I get from his poppa, like this one.

Don’t forget to enter my birthday giveaway for your chance to win $100 in PayPal cash, a cute flamingo handbag, vegan nail polish, and some vegan energy sticks! What’s on tap for everyone this weekend? I hope you have a great one, my sweet friends!

Happy Birthday again Sweet pea! I love your hair!! So pretty!! My hair is getting so dreadfully long. It is to the middle of my back. Maybe I should get a birthday cut to to celebrate turning 39 in 2 weeks. UGH. That pup?! are you kidding me with that cute mug?! adorable.

LOVE your hair.
I just finished Big Little Lies, the book. Now to watch the show!

Ok, the big thing here is that Denville is my old stomping grounds. My pediatric dentist was there! My sister lived there! Now my brother has lived there for ten years or so. He has two kids and a baby on the way and a dog. You won’t miss them! Also, Denville Dairy. We are definitely going to meet for ice cream or anything non-dairy (if that suits you) this summer?!

Aw, Buster is so cute! I’m glad you got lots of Birthday love this week – you totally deserve it!!!

I haven’t been able to watch Big Little Lies since I don’t have HBO but maybe one day! I kind of want to read the book first anyway. 🙂

So happy your birthday was such a wonderful one! I love your haircut, you look beautiful!
I bet it’s always exciting to bring Buster home for the weekends! He is such a sweetheart!
How amazing of you to donate for that sweet pup! People are so cruel and it breaks my heart seeing what they are capable of doing to other living beings!
I hope your weekend has been wonderful! The weather here has been amazing and we spent all Sunday out on the patio! Pure bliss!
Hugs love xxx

That pup pic is precious! I love your glasses. You look gorgeous. Not a day over 30. 🙂 Love the haircut. Wasn’t that finale amazing!! Ahh! I wish there was another season of that show. Hope you had an incredible weekend and a great week ahead!

Always lovely getting a haircut! Glad you had a great birthday. Buster looks so content in the picture 🙂
Have a great week.

Lindsay April 10, 2017, 4:51 PM

Hey sweet girl,
How was your weekend momma? Did ya get Buster boy back? I hope so. 🙂 That pic is adorable.
Your hair – LOVE. Love love love. You look gorgeous girl.

Oh my goodness, Caci. I clicked on the link and gasped. She looks just awful. I hope she’ll pull through and defy odds. She looks like she’s been put through so much abuse and torture…her poor little face. 🙁 Aren’t humans just awful? Not all people are but man, there are so sick and really twisted people that walk this earth, who I’d like to have a nice ‘word’ with. I wish the whole “eye for an eye” adage applied and we could inflict the pain that person out on Caci, onto them. That’s just cruel and torture. 🙁

My weekend was crappy, just really weird and tense and I hate that. I just want today and this week to be over with…

Hope you’re having a great day hun.
