Healing mind, body, and soul in 2017

This post is sponsored by BabbleBoxx.com on behalf of Single Edition Media. All opinions are entirely my own.

This is a year of hope and possibility for me. Another chance to hit the ground running, to dust off the sneakers I have sitting in the closet, and to finally – FINALLY – find a workout program I can stick with.

Wellness is something that I like to discuss at length here on this little ol’ blog. I’m a firm believer that if we don’t take care of mind, body, and spirit, nothing else matters. There’s no sense in painting the walls if the foundation is cracked, yes?

And so I’d like to place bigger emphasis this year on investing in my health, by way of mindfulness, therapy, and meditation. Doing little things that bring much joy.

Today’s post is a celebration of all of those things.

I received a box of goodies on my doorstep; each item carefully curated and designed to enhance and fill my life in various ways. Who could say no to that? Let’s reveal what’s in this month’s Babbleboxx!

Food, Health, and Happiness by Oprah Winfrey

There are a lot of celebrities who create self-improvement and well-intentioned cookbooks with obscure ingredients you’ll have to chase down at various bodegas and specialty stores.

This is not one of those books.

I’m sure that I speak for many of you when I say that time is precious, and I have better things to do than look for almond paste only made from Belgian almonds when they’re in season (are those a thing?). You catch my drift.

This book is authentic, it’s down-to-earth and, perhaps most importantly, it’s relatable.

”As long as I can remember, I’ve been the kind of person
who wants to share the things that make life better.”–Oprah

Also it’s really fun to read and the pictures are simply lovely.

Made in Nature Tart Cherry Fig Figgy Pops

I have a confession to make. I work from home (you know this) and I am a snacker (maybe I’ve kept that part under wraps). Speaking of wraps, I’m wearing a lot of them lately, because hello tummy! Anyway, where was I? I am always on the hunt for good-for-me healthy snacks that I can sneak between phone calls and emails.

These are so yums, you guys. They’re tart, with a bit of sweet. Decadent without being sinful, so it’s perfectly normal to eat an entire bag in one sitting, right? Made of all-natural ingredients, they are a perfectly healthy and good for days when you need an energy kick.

Want ‘em, too? Yes. You do. If you enter code janboosters, you’ll receive $10 off orders of $39+! Click here for more!

JUST Water

I love to support products and businesses that are eco-friendly, sustainable, and charitable, so I was incredibly happy to get to know this company and find this cute little box of water in my Babbleboxx. JUST Water is 100% spring water sourced from the Glens Falls watershed in upstate NY and the carton it is contained in is made of 83% renewable resources. Using paper and plant-based plastic from sugarcane results in a staggering 74% reduction in CO2 emissions, compared with the emissions from traditional plastic bottles.

Put simply, this is a company that is doing extraordinary things and revolutionizing the water industry. Also? I totes found it at Whole Foods for only 79 cents. Booya!

Sipscriptions teas from Tea Forté

You know what would be nice? Relying on nature to cure what ails you.

Oh, look at that! I have just the thing 🙂

Introducing Sipscriptions—specialty teas to support daily health and well-being (it’s like having a medicine cabinet full of tea leaves, fresh herbs, and bioactive botanicals). These teas are available to help with each of the following—Wellness, Detox, Energy, Fitness, and Relaxation.

Also look at how cute the packaging is!

For a limited time, you can get an additional 10% off on ANY Sipscriptions item by using code WELLNESS (please note: this code is only valid through 1/31).

FITS Socks

According to the sock manufacturers, these are the most comfortable, best-fitting socks in the world. High praise for a sock, but I’m intrigued. Sadly, I wasn’t shipped a pair to review, but they belong on the list of wellness if they’re going to enhance a workout and revolutionize the sock industry, right? They are currently available in the following styles: Ultra Light Runner Sock, Light Runner Sock, Light Hiker Sock, and Medium Hiker Sock.

EQUAL Beanie and Bracelet

I love the mission behind this company—to create products that allow individuals to express their belief in equality. Their resolution to #DisruptDiscrimination in 2017 is one that I fully plan to get on board with and I love that they encourage their fans to “Wear it. Share it. Change the world.”

Thanks for sharing! I’m glad that Oprah’s book is full of recipes the everyday folk can actually make. hah I really need to find better things to eat this year!

I’m reading this in an adorable local cafe, having a relaxing (mindful? ish!) breakfast after a 3 mile run and a gym session this morning. So I am right here with you for making 2017 a year of health and happiness all round. I do need to get back to daily meditation as well — I did more than a year in a row, but I’ve lapsed a little bit lately! xox
