Friday linky 12/30

Does anyone else remember this scene from the movie Clerks (it’s all of three seconds so you can afford to watch it!).

If you’ve been working since Christmas, that’s kind of what the week feels like. It’s slow going, no one is responding to emails (because NO ONE IS WORKING), and I want to join Buster/Bryan and veg out on the couch. I’m excited for the weekend, and perhaps more importantly, an entire New Year (or as my astute and always wise friend Lisa points out, A Year to Build a Dream On).

If you’re new here, I’d like to invite you to also link up with Krysten and Lindsay and let us know what’s making you smile this week. Sharing our gratitude lists reminds us of the little things in life that carry us through when we need them most 🙂 Here’s my happy for the week:

Booking a vacation to Jamaica!!!!!! (and splurging a little and not caring one bit)
Long chats with my momma <3
Being proactive about my wellness needs—and setting up a much-needed appointment
Thai food with Bryan, his sister, and mom last night
Undercover Boss. I dunno what it is about that show, but it always makes me cry

A New Year on the horizon—the thought of a blank slate excites me

Do you have exciting plans for the New Year? What are you doing?

I finally got a cool planner for 2017 and I’m really excited to start using it for all my blog/life needs!

Yay for planning a fun vacation, and for taking care of yourself!

p.s. I think you asked, but my new niece’s name is Lily! 🙂

Yay so exciting about booking a trip to Jamaica! We went there for our honeymoon a little over a month ago and it was awesome 🙂

Ah, I love the new image! I remember those 3 seconds from that movie! And even though I haven’t been working it still feels like this week went by slow.
Thai food -yum – I’d been in for that in a heartbeat! Love those planners and I still need one for the New Year! And don’t worry, I always have to cry watching Undercover Boss as well…so does my man! 😉 Hugs xxx

Glad to hear you are taking care of yourself and set up an appointment that you needed to make. I know how easy it is to put off things like that. Even routine things… like a six-month dental cleaning. I scheduled it, rescheduled it, and then rescheduled it again.

Thai food always makes me happy! I got some this week too. 🙂

Thank you so much for the generous mention, Charlotte! <3
Self care is so important. Glad to hear that's on your list. A clean slate sounds wonderful. I'm afraid I do bring some '16 baggage into '17 but I'm still going to try to dream big. Have a great weekend with you Beau and pup! Enjoy! xoxo

I think I know every scene from “Clerks.” Kevin’s early work was his best.

I want to say Happy New Year, chica, and thank you for being such a good friend. I appreciate you and hope 2017 treats you like royalty.

Booking holidays is always exciting! And Jamaica sounds like a lot of fun! 🙂 Hope you had a good NYE and best wishes for 2017!

Happy New Year! I hope you had an amazing New Years whatever it is you got up to.
You and I must’ve been the only ones working last week! Lol. It was productive but I’d much rather have been at home, vegging on the couch.

I’m going to the gym in a moment and then home to make breakfast and lunches for back to work tomorrow. 🙂

Have a lovely day babe!! xoxo
