It’s been a difficult week. I’m sure I’m not alone in feeling the weight of the world’s problems lately and wondering how we fix and glue back together what’s broken. I’m grateful for the acts of love and kindness that I see happening and I’m reminded that there are beacons of hope even on the darkest days.
And now, on to this week’s grateful list. Tell me, what makes yours?
- I’ve always been a believer in signs, even though I know they can be difficult to distinguish. For the past few days, I’ve seen pairs of animals floating around me—on Tuesday, two butterflies. Wednesday, two dancing squirrels. This morning, two tiny, adorable birdies. I don’t know what this means, but it’s a nice symbol anyhow
- New music! In the past week, I’ve purchased new tunes from the Lumineers, Michael Franti, Mumford and Sons, and Jon Bellion.
- Rooftops in NYC and wine and good friends and laughter
- Asking nicely and receiving generously. I realized recently that I don’t have a good strapless bra for this wedding I’ll be attending in July and so I contacted a company I’d heard great things about. Not only has Upbra sent me a bra to review, they’ve also agreed to participate in a giveaway and will offer my readers a discount code—stay tuned!

Hope you have a sweet weekend, dear friends, and happy Father’s Day to the poppas out there.
