We’ve made it! Let’s dive right in, kiddies, shall we? It’s been a long week and somewhat grueling and coffee and weekend and can’t type complete sentences yet.
Here are my favorite things that happened this week. Also sending a very special thank-you to Krysten and Lindsay for letting me be a part of this weekly feature (look, guys! MY NAME IS ON THE PICTURE!). Tell me your happy moments in the comments below, my friends!
- Having the chance to try out Blue Apron. Has anyone tried this at-home cooking service yet? I didn’t realize how much prep time would go into each recipe but everything was so delicious! I’d like to try gifting this service to some of the newlywed couples in my life—I think it’s a great idea for a night in with your significant other!
- Yoga with Adrienne. I can’t believe I’ve never heard of her before but she has great videos and I’m seeing the results after only 10 days of her 30-day yoga series.
- Receiving an email from a friend that she’s looking for ways to grow and reach personal goals. It was such an inspired letter that made me think of how brave that simple act is—asking for feedback from the people who know you the most. It is not an easy task and I just loved this idea so much.
- Vegan (not tested on animals!), formaldehyde-free and really great nail polish colors from Cheeky Monkey. Plus—their polish names are so cute! I received No Bra and Buff Muff (LO). I am wearing No Bra (ha!); I’m not sure it’s a color I would have chosen myself but I love the way it looks and it’s totally f*ck-up proof, so bonus! I would love to try Ballroom Ball Buster, Earth Momma, and Camel Toe for obvious reasons.
- ‘The best blog friendships ever. I don’t want to leave anyone out but I hope you know who you are. You send me pictures of Man Buns, thoughtful emails, you comment, you lift me up, and you are simply awesome. Thank you.
- Getting the perfect light jacket for my upcoming Amsterdam trip from Bryan’s sister (thank you, momma!). I’m one step closer to being vacation ready.
- This weekend! Bryan and I are going to see House of Pain tonight and tomorrow we’ll be making vegan s’mores and playing Cards Against Humanity with friends. Let’s get this party started.

Blog friends are the best 🙂 The dinner service would be great for couples with a new baby, too. Cards against humanity is hilarious and quite rude. Ha! Have fun, Charlotte!

We have been using Hello Fresh for awhile now and love it. I’m beginning to think I might need to do the preparing and chopping on Sunday as it does take some time to prep. Love Cards Against Humanity. Hope it’s a great weekend.

Meant to say, that was brave of your friend emailing looking of ways to grow. I heard of doing this from Hal Elrod when I read his book The Miracle Morning. Also I checked out Yoga with Adriene, thank you really liked her videos and now going to do 30 days of Yoga 🙂
Lindsay says
House of Pain?!? Whattt?! How was that?! Must’ve been awesome. 🙂 Save some room in your luggage for me, Amsterdam is one of my favorite cities. I already can’t wait to see your pics when you return.
I’m glad you’re officially a part of this awesome link up. The more I see that picture, I love it!!

I’ve heard so much about Blue Apron, but I haven’t tried it yet. It just seems like the perfect way to take some stress off of us on those days that no one in the family has any inspiration to cook!
