[sponsored post] Naturade nutritional vegan shakes

– Posted in: product review, sponsored post

I always kept track of upcoming rain/snowstorms when I worked in the city. Without the proper rain or snow gear, a commute to work could be messy and dangerous and I’m way too old and uncoordinated to get around on crutches. Since I started working from home, I no longer click on weather.com obsessively at early rumors of a few flurries and I don’t pay much mind to how the roads will be since I traded in my Civic so many years ago (RIP).

I heard we might get some heavy snowfall this past weekend, but I didn’t realize I would be housebound and that groceries in the apartment were dwindling. Thankfully we have enough dog food to last a year. Because, priorities.

When the mail arrived on Saturday morning, I was ecstatic about a delivery of vegan all-in-one
nutritional shakes by Naturade. A vegetarian since ’97, I am always looking for healthy ways to get my vitamins, minerals, and dietary fibers, and I attempt to eat gluten free whenever possible. Thankfully, I was able to check off all of these boxes with the delicious chocolate and chai flavored shakes I was mailed (and Bryan, who is a longterm vegan, had rave reviews for these products as well).

I started calorie counting a few months ago and these handy little packets are a nice alternative for anyone who wants a delicious meal replacement without all the guilt and added sugars. One of these single servings comes in at 170 calories and provides 6 grams of dietary fiber, is cholesterol/trans fat free, and made without soy and dairy. These nutritional shakes also have digestive enzymes which promote healthy tummies, as you all know.

I received free Naturade products in exchange for this review. I did not receive any other compensation for this post.

Shakes are one of those things that sound like such a sensible idea… but I can’t quite get my head around wanting to put them in my mouth. I don’t even know why. My husband has protein shakes but there’s just something about it that makes me feel weird!
