will it go round in circles

There have been a lot of breakups around me lately. Which I find odd because I thought love is supposed to thrive in the summer. This is a time to roll around in the grass, go star gazing, enjoy picnics in the park, and dance in a drum circle with a special someone. Am I the only hopeless romantic left? [Read more...]

new decade, new me

Hello, all!

I am the guest blogger this week at 30 years and counting, a fabulous blog dedicated to those of us in our flirty 30s. So please grab a cup of coffee, stop on by, and show some love :) Enjoy the sunshine and have a wonderful weekend. *HUGS*

(P.S.: I am now also featured on their “guest bloggers” page, in case you care to take a look).

Corsets, dildos, and bad 80s pop. How I spent my weekend.

I kind of want to erase the memory of my last post as quickly as possible, because I hate to indulge in a pity party. It’s hard not to succumb to one every now and then but I refuse to let them take over my life. Please forgive and bear with me. I’m not as frail as I once was but I am still human and I expect this to be a bumpy road. Also, I won’t allow the insensitive things that people say get to me. A few My Pixie Blog-related announcements: Please stop by and show some love to Life Without Pink, a very awesome mommy blog I discovered this week because it was featured at The Lady Bloggers Society. Tina has graciously featured my blog in her Friday Favorites. Thank you, Tina. I’m truly honored!

Earlier this week, Shana at Fumbling Towards Normalcy gave me a shout-out and I wanted to return the favor. I have always felt a strong connection with her since I started blogging. She details her experiences working in the craziest city on Earth and the life lessons she bestows on her readers always leave me wanting more. She is worth a read–please go check her out, NOW! and we danced all night

If you’re like me—young, single, a vegetarian, more comfortable in Birkenstocks than in high heels, and into the jam band scene—then a Phish show is your Graceland. I don’t think I’ve ever been to an event with more adoring fans and I’ve certainly never seen so many cute and friendly boys gathered on one lawn. As silly as it may sound, the return of my favorite live band has everything to do with my mood as of late. Damn, I love the summer. [Read more...]
